‘Afterthought’ is the fourth track from Little Monarch’s excellent new EP release, Grains. Laidback beats combine with distant, hazy vocals to create a track that’s as catchy as it is atmospheric. Huge snare sounds pierce the dynamic field, while warm synth lines dance around underneath. Little Monarch isn’t afraid to experiment with texture either, with the reverby accompaniment making its way from light and soft, to rumbling and grainy.
